We’d be happy to send you a catalog, meet you at a trade show, or have one of our representatives contact you. Just e-mail us

How do you weave your silk?
Gecko Traders works with silk weaving co-ops in Cambodia, who weave as part of an ages-old tradition. Years of war and
political unrest disrupted this tradition. We are pleased to play a part in reviving this unique craft.
How do I care for my silk handbag or accessory?
Our silk products are made of three-warp silk, making the fabric stronger than the silk woven for a blouse, for example. To avoid
unnecessary wear and tear, do not store the purse on the floor or in direct sunlight. If you need to clean it, we recommend dry
cleaning.
What are your Eco Weekenders made of?
Eco Weekenders are made from plastic bags that carry rice, fish food or other commodities throughout Southeast Asia. Our
producer groups take these bags, wash them completely, and then transform them into our fun and functional totes and
accessories.
Can I choose the color of my Eco Weekenders?
Due to the recycled nature of these products, we do not control what colors we receive from our producer. We will provide a
selection of colors based on what we have in stock.
How do I take care of my Eco Weekender?
Eco Weekenders will fade and soften over time, gaining a beautiful recycled patina. Protect Weekenders from water and from
harsh chemicals, such as chlorine and those found in sunscreen.
What is Fair Trade?
Fair trade is a method of doing business in which a company promises to pay fair wages and provide good working conditions

Who do you work with in Cambodia?
Gecko Traders has developed long-term relationships with several silk weaving and hand-crafting producer groups. We work
with non governmental organizations that provide training and employment to the disadvantaged, many of whom have been
disabled by polio or landmines or displaced by years of war. For more information, go to Our Story [link to our story page].
How can I get a bag monogrammed?
